MY HOBBY

MY HOBBY
The literal meaning of hobby is “hot pursuit” or “favourite pursuit”. In modern time the word hobby is used for the engagement or work in which you are taking interest and which is other than your occupation. In this regard a gardener may have photography as hobby and a photographer can adopt gardening as his hobby. As lord Brougham has said “Blessed is the man who has hobbies.” Though, I am a student and my first priority is my study but my hobby is “Photography”. I requested my uncle to buy me a camera and he did so. Since then I don’t waste a chance to make a beautiful picture, scenery or landscape a part of my album. Whenever I go on picnic wit my parents, I take my camera along. The pictures of Kashmir’s bewitching and lush green valleys and big glaciers, the photographs of Shah Faisal Mosque, and other important buildings of Islamabad, the historical places of Lahore are the contributaries of my albums. Hobby has its own value. After the strain of the day’s hard work, I feel refreshed when I handle the camera. It finishes my fatigue and restores my mental energy. It is a good way to spend my leisure time. “An idle man brain is the devil’s workshop.” My hobby fills up my leisure hours most admirably. It is a kind of stimulus to my mind and in the long run, my hobby exercise a deep and wholesome influence on my life and character. It will enable me in future to maintain balance in my domestic and official life. Some times, my hobby over whelm me and it does not let me do my study. This lapse may indeed create great loss for me. But I am trying to get control over this deficiency and pay proper attention to my study. My parents are satisfied and happy with me and always help me. I like my hobby very much.
